Languedoc-Roussillon
It is in the Languedoc-Roussillon area that the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees meet. The landscapes there are very varied. Between Camargue and Lozere, between the wolves of Gévaudan and the park of the dinosaurs, there is something to suit all tastes. You could travel the length and the breadth of the Via Domitia (which is the oldest Roman way connecting Italy and Spain) or, you could visit Carcassonne (the largest medieval city in Europe). |
